support and PD team environment2

 Team Environment

Our teachers work closely with a team to ensure they are always well supported. Teaching teams include teachers, lead teachers, principals, and site directors. While our teachers each are responsible for their own classes, they have a grade partner or grade team with which to plan lessons, units, and assessments. Our program principals are experienced Ontario principals who provide administrative support and educational expertise. Each school also has a designated local site director, who not only provides support, but also acts as a communication bridge between the foreign teachers, the local Taiwanese school, and students' parents. Lower elementary grade teachers also have the support of a Taiwanese educational assistant.

Teacher Orientation

We start the year off in August with orientation for all of our teachers. Orientation includes the involvement of Foresight staff, principals, education consultants, teacher directors, lead teachers, site directors, and EAs to help equip and prepare our teachers for a successful year ahead.

Teacher Directors and Lead teachers hold professional development for their teaching teams

 Opportunities for Professional Growth

We are committed to providing ongoing professional development for our teachers through weekly team meetings and the support of Canadian principals and curriculum designers. Our lead teachers facilitate on-site professional development sessions to introduce resources and help develop teachers’ skills. Regular team meetings for professional development are built into teachers' timetables, so these do not require teachers to commit extra hours after school or during lunch hours.

Canadian Curriculum

We provide a full Ontario-based curriculum, along with abundant resources, developed by education specialists in conjunction with the local ESL program to meet the unique needs of Taiwanese students. While the curriculum is fully provided, it is also flexible; teachers will adapt and differentiate the provided curriculum to suit the needs and interests of their students. Because our program is based on Ontario curriculum, our teachers gain valuable and relevant experience planning, implementing, assessing and evaluating student learning that can be used towards future teaching careers beyond Asia.

Who are we?

We are a Taiwanese company specializing in international education experiences for Taiwanese students and international teachers. We partner with leading international education specialists to deliver educational programs within Taiwanese schools while also creating opportunities for teachers from around the world.
